Trim For Side Curtain Airbag (Sedan)

C-pillar Upper Trim, Removing And Installing

WARNING: Observe safety precautions when working on side curtain airbag







1 - C-pillar upper trim

Removing
- Remove intermediate piece for B-pillar trim
- Remove D-pillar trim
- Remove bolts - 3 - (3x).
- Remove bolts - 5 - at brackets, left and right of C-pillar.
- Carefully press airbag module - 4 - upward.







- Remove trim - 1 - from mounts - 6 - at retaining clips - 2 -.

CAUTION: Always adhere to C-pillar trim installation sequence.

Installing
- Carefully press airbag module - 4 -upward.
- Clip in trim - 1 - at mounts - 6 - using retaining clips - 2 -.

CAUTION: Make sure trim is secured properly.

- Check for proper fit by pulling on upper edge of trim.







- Install bolts - 5 -.
- Install bolts - 3 -.
- Rest of installation is reverse of removal.

2 - Retaining clip
3 - Bolts (3x)
- Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm (31 in lb)
4 - Side curtain airbag
5 - Bolts (2x)
6 - Mounting holes (2x)
