Inner Oil Line

Inner oil, line, removing and installing
The following special tools and test equipment are required for this work

3381 Insertion tool

Notes:
^ Faulty O-rings at the inner oil line allow ATF to get into the differential, the differential is then overfilled and oil flows out at the breather.
^ Replace a removed oil line as a general rule.
^ It is essential to use the insertion tool 3381 for installing the oil line, otherwise there is a risk of leaks as a result of a bent oil line.

Removing

- Remove valve body.
- Use a screwdriver to pry inner oil line off transmission housing.

Installing
Installation is the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Replace O-rings.
- Insert oil line into 3381 insertion tool.

- Lightly tap insertion tool 3381 with plastic headed hammer in order to knock oil line into transmission housing until tool makes contact.

Notes:
^ The open side of the insertion tool 3381, faces toward the outer wall of the transmission.
^ Do not angle the oil line. Knock in both ends of the line evenly.

- Install valve body.
- Top up ATF.
- Check oil level in front final drive.
