Coat Hook And Separating Point At A- / D-pillar (From Calendar Week 36.02)







1 - Upper A-pillar trim

- Removing
- Pry off cap - 3 -.
- Remove screw - 2 -.
- Unclip upper A-pillar trim panel - 1 - and upper D-pillar trim panel - 9 - together at clip - 12 -.
- Pull out catch strap - 10 - from upper A-pillar trim panel - 1 -, at - 4 -.

- Installing
- Slide catch strap - 10 - behind clip - 12 - into upper A-pillar trim panel - 1 -, at position - 4 -.







WARNING: The green thread - 11 - must always face the vehicle interior.

- Securely clip upper A-pillar trim panel - 1 - and upper D-pillar trim panel - 9 - together at clip - 12 -.
- Securely bolt catch strap - 10 - with upper A-pillar trim panel - 1 - to upper D-pillar trim panel - 9 -.

2 - Screw
- Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm
3 - Concealment cap
- Always replace cap - 3 - if catches are faulty.
- Engage cap - 3 - in recess.







4 - Position for catch strap
5 - Screw
- Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm
6 - Coat hook
- Open coat hook - 6 -.
- Remove bolt - 5 -.
- Remove coat hook - 6 -.
7 - Screw
- Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm

- Self-locking
- Always replace
- Always clean threaded holes for screws (e.g. using a thread cutter)
- For loose (threaded) inserts, tighten inserts using pliers.

9 - Upper D-pillar trim panel
10 - Catch strap
11 - Green thread
12 - Clip
