Torque Converter: Service and Repair: Overview

CAUTION! Before installing the transmission, check the installation dimension of the torque converter.

Notes:
^ Pay attention to the rules for cleanliness when performing work on the automatic transmission.
^ Lubricate surface between sealing lips of seals with Vaseline. Other types of greases cause operational problems in the hydraulic transmission control.





1 - Torque converter
^ Must be secured to prevent it from falling out when transmission is removed
^ Installation dimension go to Torque Converter Installing
2 - Seal
3 - Thrust ring
^ Location: behind seal
^ Replace if damaged
