Front Occupied Seat Sensor On Sport Seat, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION: Note safety measures when working on airbag.

- For vehicles with coded radio unit, radio/navigation system (RNS) note coding; ask if necessary.
- Disconnect battery ground strap/cable and cover negative pole.
- Remove front seat.
- Removing seat cover.







- Cut through cable ties - 2 -.
- Remove connector - 1 - for occupied seat sensor and seat heater and disconnect.
- Remove seat cushion with sensor mat and seat heater.

NOTES:
- Sensor mat for occupied seat sensor is available as replacement part only in connection with seat heater and seat cushion.
- Sensor mat is in two parts due to removable femur support.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION: Sensor mat must not be creased, otherwise mat will malfunction.

- After installation, check function of sensor mat.
