Front Door Latch: Locations

Door Handle, Assembly Overview







1 - Door handle
- Remove door trim.
- Door component carrier removed
2 - Locating pin
- When installing, be sure securing spring reaches completely around hinge arm.
3 - Front doors
4 - Seal for door handle

5 - Mount for door handle
6 - Harness connector
- Only vehicles with anti-theft warning system
7 - Cover for door lock
- To remove, unclip at top first, then pull bottom toward rear of door lock
8 - Operating rod
- Before removing door handle, disengage at clip -9-.
9 - Operating clip
10 - Securing rod-lock cylinder
11 - Micro switch
- Only vehicles with anti-theft warning system.
- Removing and installing, see Fig. 1
12 - Hinge arm

- Mount for door handle -1- removed.
- Carefully release locking tabs (arrows) and remove microswitch -3- upward.
- Press back locking mechanism (arrow B) and slide harness connector up and out of mount.
- Pull connecting cable out of seal -2-
- When installing, be sure to press cable completely into seal as shown.

- To remove seal, unclip and remove.
- When installing, seal must be engaged completely in mount (arrows) (otherwise it won't seal!).
