NOTE: Cut out side glass using tool 357 845 955 and special tool VAG1655.

1 - Side window
- PVC molding

NOTE: Replacement windows are delivered with a hardened adhesive bead already on them. This should be cut to about 2 mm before applying new adhesive. Apply adhesive to this freshly cut "leftover" bead as usual.

CAUTION:
- The adhesive bead must not be cut down to the PVC.
- A window whose bead has been cut down to the PVC can no longer be installed using standard tools.








2 - Trim molding
- Before removing, protect transition to side panel with adhesive tape to prevent paint damage.
- Removing Fig. 1.
3 - Adhesive bead
- Apply adhesive to freshly cut leftover adhesive bead.

6 - C-pillar trim
- To remove, drill off rivet heads, knock out rivet shafts and remove trim.

CAUTION: To prevent paint damage during removal and installation of trim molding, it is essential to cover the side window area and side trim area using adhesive tape.

- Pull trim strip out at bottom (arrow - A -) first, then unclip above (arrow - B -) and pull down (arrow - C -) and out of molding trim at D-pillar.

Installing trim molding
- Push trim strip under roof frame at D-pillar and snap into place.
- Clip trim strip on using horizontal back-and-forth motion.
- Dimension - x -: maximum 1 mm
