Input Values For Instrument Cluster Replacement

Input Values For Instrument Cluster Replacement

The following items must be observed when replacing the instrument cluster:

NOTE:
- The instrument cluster must be coded!
- Before replacing the instrument cluster; note the values in all adaptation channels of the Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) shown on the VAG1551 scan tool.
- These values (time/distance remaining until next service) must be entered since they count down to the next service due date.
- Note the odometer reading before replacing the instrument cluster and program the new value according to the The instructions given earlier.
- In countries where speedometers are calibrated in miles, adjustment of the odometer Service Reminder Indicator display (SRI) must be made in kilometers! Therefore convert the miles displayed into kilometers (miles x 1.609 = kilometers) or enter the appropriate values previously recorded.

After replacing the instrument cluster, the following steps must be carried out:
- Instrument cluster coding.
- Resetting SRI after service.
And also:
- Enter SRI remaining distance for oil change service.
- Enter SRI remaining distance for inspection service interval.
- Enter SRI remaining time for inspection service Interval-1 (IN 1).
- Enter SRI remaining time for inspection service Interval-2 (IN 2).
And:
- Enter odometer display (adaptation).
