Ultrasonic Sensor: Description and Operation

CAUTION!
Before working on the electrical system:
- Determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

- The ultrasonic interior monitoring system detects unauthorized access to the vehicle interior through the windows and activates the anti-theft alarm.
- The doors are monitored via the contact (illumination) switches.
- The ultrasonic interior monitor control module does not have DTC memory, but self-testing is carried out and the results are displayed by blink code via the rear fog light switch (LED).
- Interior monitoring can be deactivated using the switch mounted in the B-pillar and it is automatically restored during the next lock activation.
