Occupied Seat Sensor For Rear Seat With Power Adjustable Individual Seats, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions when working on airbag.

- For vehicles with coded radio unit, radio/navigation system (RNS) note coding; ask if necessary.
- Disconnect battery ground strap/cable and cover negative pole.
- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove cover for rear seat left and right.







- Disconnect wire - 7 - with 2-pin connector - 6 - from wiring harness - 8 -.
- Remove seat cushion with sensor mat and seat heater.

NOTE: Sensor mat for occupied seat sensor is available as replacement part only in connection with seat heater and seat cushion.

Installing
Installation is done in reverse sequence, noting the following:

CAUTION: Sensor mat must not be creased, otherwise mat will malfunction.

- After installation, check function of sensor mat.

CAUTION: Observe installation instructions of the seats.
