Cleaning Lines






Before installing a replacement transmission, always blow through the ATF cooler and ATF lines with compressed air:
- Remove bolt (No. 4 in illustration).
- Loosen unions (No. 3 in illustration) and disconnect ATF lines.
- On line (A in illustration), connect length of hose, secure with hose clamp, secure other end of hose in waste container.
- Using several blasts of compressed air, blow into transmission line (B in illustration) until no oil is expelled from hose.

WARNING!
^ Always use eye protection when working with compressed air.
^ Air pressure must not exceed 10 bar (145 psi).


- Switch hose to line (B in illustration) and secure, then repeat, blowing into line (A in illustration).
- Reconnect lines and install bolt (No. 4 in illustration).
- Check and adjust ATF level.
