CLIMATE CONTROL COMPONENTS, PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

Automatic Climate Control
After completing climate control system repair work, erase Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory and perform basic setting

Components marked with an asterisk (*) can be checked according to electrical tests.

Components marked with a double asterisk (**) are actuated during the output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)





1 - A/C kick-down switch.
- Kick-down switch-off of A/C compressor may also occur via the Transmission Control Module (TCM)
2 - Footwellldefroster flap motor -V85- with footwell/defroster flap motor poition sensor
3 - A/C control head -E87-
- Zexel and Nippondenso A/C compressors require different A/C control head coding
- Nippondenso compressor (running change during m.y. 1996) requires A/C control head identification (Part No. and "index letter") with index letter "K" or higher to allow for proper coding.
4 - Central air flap motor with central air flap motor position sensor -G112-
5 - Recirculating air flap **
6 - Headliner Interior temperature sensor -G106-
7 - Instrument panel interior temperature sensor -G56-
8 - Interior temperature sensor fan -V42- **
9 - Outside air temperature display -G106-
