Components In Engine Compartment
NOTES:
- Always check and erase DTC memory, perform basic setting and check -E87- coding after performing repairs.

1 - Air extraction vent
- Sealing lips of air extraction vent must operate freely and close by themselves. Service and Repair
NOTE: For proper air extraction, the air guides (rear shelf sides) to the two air extraction slots (on left and right below the rear bumper trim) must not be blocked.
2 - Compressor (Zexel)
- Removing and installing. Service and Repair
- Removing and installing ribbed drive belt. Service and Repair
- Removing and installing compressor mounting bracket. Service and Repair
CAUTION! Refrigerant system must be discharged prior to removal or replacement of compressor.
3 - A/C compressor speed sender -G111-**
- Electrical testing. Testing and Inspection
- Removing and installing.
CAUTION!
Refrigerant system must be discharged and compressor removed prior to removal or replacement of -G111-.
4 - A/C clutch -N25-*
- Removing and installing. Service and Repair
5 - Condenser
CAUTION! Refrigerant system must be discharged prior to removal or replacement of condenser.
6 - Outside air temperature sensor -G17-**
- Removing and installing:
- Remove front bumper, separate electrical connection and un-clip sensor from mount in air guide.
7 - A/C refrigerant high pressure switch -F23-/-F118-)**
- Both switch functions are incorporated into a single housing
8 - Service valve (high pressure)
- Installed on condensor inlet line
- Used for checking system pressure, discharging, evacuating and recharging system
- Cap with seal must be on when not performing service
9 - Accumulator
- Removing and installing. Service and Repair
CAUTION! Refrigerant system must be discharged prior to replacement of accumulator.
10 - Evaporator housing drain valve
- Checking. Service and Repair
11 - A/C refrigerant low pressure switch -F73-**
12 - Fresh air intake duct temperature sensor -G89-**
13 - Airflow flap
- Removing and installing Air flow flap motor -V71-* with potentiometer -G113-. Service and Repair
14 - Dust and pollen filter
- Removing and installing. Service and Repair
NOTE: The dust and pollen filter should be replaced at regular intervals. Refer to "Maintenance."
