1) This type of malfunction is indicated by VAG. 1551 in addition to the affected component

NOTE:
- During supply voltage failure (terminal 30) application values are lost, this means, the transmission control module must relearn these values at a new start. During this renewed 'learning" the shift quality could become poorer than what is used to.
- Malfunction must be recognized 5 times in succession after ignition has been switched on/oft until malfunction is set in On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
