1) One of these malfunction types is indicated on VAG 1551 in addition to the affected component.

NOTE:
- For vehicles with MPI Ignition and Injection system will transfer the signal from the Throttle Position Sensor -G69- via the engine control module to the transmission control module (as a digital signal).
- The malfunction recognition of DTC codes 00518 from the transmission control module is essentially sharper than that of the engine control module. This means that a short term malfunction (up to 1 second) of the throttle signal from the engine control module will not be recognized by the transmission control module, but diagnosed by transmission control module as malfunction.
- Conditions for malfunction recognition: The frequency of the digital signal to the transmision control module lies outside of the permissible tolerance (at least all 30 ms must follow a signal jump)
