WITH ATF FILLER PIPE
Add only Dexron type transaxle fluid when servicing transaxle.

Transaxle fluid should be inspected with selector lever in "P" position, vehicle parked on a level surface, parking brake applied and engine at closed throttle position. To inspect the fluid, proceed as follows:

1. Remove plug from filler pipe.
2. With engine cold inspect fluid level. Fluid should extend up to 68°F marking on dipstick. Fill as necessary.
3. Start engine and bring transaxle to normal operating temperature, 140-176°F.
4. Inspect fluid level.
5. With transaxle at normal operating temperature level fluid should be between minimum and half way to maximum marks on dipstick, add or remove fluid as necessary.


WITHOUT ATF FILLER PIPE
Add only Dexron type transaxle fluid when servicing transaxle.

Transaxle fluid should be inspected when transaxle is Not in emergency running mode, with selector lever in "P" position, engine running at idle, air conditioning off and vehicle parked on a level surface. With fluid at 95-104°F open screw plug on side of transaxle oil pan. Fluid should be level with lower edge of opening, add or remove fluid as necessary.
