Front Bumper Assembly
Front bumper assembly, removing and installingWARNING!
DO NOT re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Many fasteners are designed to be used only once and become unreliable and may fail when used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, self4ocking nuts or bolts, circlips, cotter pins. For replacements always use new parts.
1 - Trim strip, right side

2 - Bolt w/washer
2.5 Nm (22 in lb)
3 - Trim strip, center

Adjusting:
- Remove bumper
- Loosen bolt -4-
Installing:
- Align to both side trim strips

5 - Trim strip, left side
• Removing ~ Fig. 1
6 - Expanding nut
7 - Guide piece, left/right
• Unclip bumper from guide piece
• Push bumper end downward out of guide piece
8 - Bolt w/washer
1.5 Nm (13 in lb)
9 - Bracket
10 - Nut
• 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
• Locks with nut w/washer -11-
11 - Nut w/washer
12 - Bolt w/washer
40 Nm (30 ft lb)
13 - Impact absorber, left
14 - Bolt w/washer
23 Nm (17 ft lb)
15 - Impact absorber, right
16 - Nut w/washer
23 Nm (17 ft lb)
17 - Bumper w/cover
Removing:
- Remove fog light assembly, where applicable
- Remove retaining clip -20-
- Remove trim -25-
- Remove bolts w/washer -24-
- Unclip bumper ends from guide piece
- Remove bumper ends downward and out of guide piece
- Pry bumper ends over wheel opening and remove toward front
Installing:
- Carefully pry bumper over edge of wheel opening
- Guide bumper onto impact absorbers and into guide piece
Note: Bumper ends must be pushed as far as possible up to wheel opening. They may be adjusted in or out by turning the inside tube of impact absorber. One turn of tube will alter distance 1.0 mm (0.039 in.). After adjustment trim strips must be adjusted to fit bumper.
- Install bolts w/washer -2-
- Install trim -25-
- Install clip -20-
- Install fog light assembly, when applicable

23 - Screw
1.0 Nm (9 in lb)
24 - Bolt w/washer
23 Nm (17 ft lb)
