DTC 2122

^ No engine speed signal to fuel control unit. Since there are no references for the ignition system other than the hall sensor, it follows that the engine will fire intermittently or will not run if the hall sensor is defective. If a "no start" or "starts and dies" condition is present with this code, then the hall sensor is probably the cause, and the signal is absent or intermittent at both the ignition and fuel control units. If the engine does run, then the hall sensor signal is present at the ignition control unit, but is not being communicated to the fuel control unit.

This code may be caused by:

a. Faulty hall sensor.
b. Circuit(s) between hall sensor (terminals #1, #2, and 3#) and ignition control unit (terminals #10, #24, and #4 respectively) open, grounded, or shorted to battery power.
c. Open or grounded circuit between fuel pump relay and terminal #14 of ignition control unit (no power to ignition control unit).
d. Open or grounded circuit between terminal #17 of ignition control unit and terminal #30 of fuel control unit.
