Ambient Temperature Switch

Purpose and Operation
The ambient temperature switch interrupts the power supply to the compressor when outside temperature falls below approximately 3O°F (-1°C). This is to prevent possible compressor damage because below these temperatures the refrigerant oil would be too thick to lubricate properly.
